How does it get back to the station?

CP needs a couple dark rides . It's been decades since they had any . My first trip there in 1978 they had two dark rides Pirate ride and earthquake . Gemini was the new coaster that year and i remember waiting 45 minutes to ride it . Money train rocks and so does Magnum ! I live halfway between CP and Indiana Beach and Michigans Adventure triangulated . I claim Indiana Beach as my home park because it's family owned again and i love genius and janky . I love the history of CP and IB will be 100 years old in two years .

I think you make a lot of great points. I've been going to Lagoon for years. I've been to parks in other states, so I know there's better options. But I don't hear about people talking about those parks in the same kind of romanticized way people do about Lagoon. If there were another park trying to startup, I think they'd face a unique kind of brand loyalty and stubbornness in attracting customers. One of many add-on effects of having no competition for so many years.

Finally someone talks about it

So much has changed since last time I was there, thanks for all the tips for my next visit!

I visited Sea World back in 2012. Nothing wrong with the rides if that's your thing. One thing that has always stuck in my mind whenever I hear SeaWorld mentioned is the outrageous price gouging for any food item. Bear in mind, I'm talking about 2012 prices. 9 dollars for a sausage roll, 7 dollars for a cheap, generic, banana flavoured ice-cream. Which, at the time, you could buy for less than a dollar at any supermarket. An absolute scam which, unfortunately, has turned me away from every revisiting.

I went to cedar point for the first time last year (for my 31st bday) and I stayed 3 days at hotel breakers and had an amazing time. I also don't drive and had to pay the hefty 65 dollar Uber ride from the cleaveland airport. Money well spent. But I didn't really like the hotel 😂

This is my home park. I’ve never noticed any superiority complexes. Honestly never. I don’t think they’ve ’blamed’ anyone for TT2 being down instead simply stated the facts.

Can you do a kings island one?

So actually season pass holders do get benefits. They get discounts on all the ex-adventure rides. They get to go into the park unlimited amount of amount of times for only the price of 2 day passes and they get discounts on the Laguna Beach tubes

But... Cedar Point kinda is the best! xD Hehehe

What about superman escape?

I grew up in the suburbs of Detroit, and CP was always a must go to at least once a season. The last time I went was the year Millennium Force opened, and I got to ride it three times. I want to go back, but I know that being from California it will require some planning. The one thing I will definitely do is stay on property AND pay for the Fast Lane / Food packages. Seeing that it's been 25 years since I was there, that this would be a special visit. And maybe Magnum will be up and running. (The last three times I went, all after it opened, the coaster was down.)

For switzerland, I recomend the mountain coaster on pilatus, and no coasters but titlis is a worthwhile visit

The last time I went was maybe like 8-9 years ago. I was much more overweight at the time but still could go on most rides. I went on the Cliffhangar, in which the securing mechanism needs to click three times before it’s secure. We couldn’t get it to do the third click and I said I’d be okay if I couldn’t ride. They told me it was fine and started it up. Halfway through the bar snapped out leaving it held on by one single little piece of metal while I was upside down. It scared the crap out of me that they were so confident in my safety when we couldn’t even meet the minimum threshold for securely holding me in place. Even with my weight loss I won’t go back.

Don't forget the insane lack of ADA access. Also, as a concealed carrier I think the lack of security is a plus, especially when it comes to booze which is hilarious cause Utah's Mormon Church ran government.

All american triple loop is the worst coaster i have ever ridden. Also Lost Coaster was closed on my visit so i left with a bad impression of the park

30 to park. 80 to get in. 150 for a fast pass. you will spend over 300 dollars for a 1 day visit here to be able to ride most rides you want. Getting to expensive if you ask me. it's only a decent price if you live close and get a season pass and go at least 5 times a year. don't forget paying like 3.00 for a locker for 5 rollercoasters. that's another 15.00 in locker rental. get prepared to pay 20 for a meal and 40 for a t-shirt.

As a worker at lagoon, GO WHEN IT IS RAINING OR COLD! No one comes when its cold, also come on fathers day or mothers day! When it comes to summer, go on the weekdays because typically people will go to lagoona beach! And with the new ride primordial, everyone will go on it so 98% of the rides will be a second long. I went with my dad and mom on fathers day the wait for cannibal was literally 2 seconds.

Cedar Point is my favorite amusement park. I haven't been there in a few years. My wife and I have been going to other amusement parks around the US.

I feel completely lucky that this was my home park growing up and I still consider it the best amusement park in the world! I was only 3 hours from it and I remember going every year since the late 80s and the fact that were part of the coaster wars for many years was a very exciting time for me. I credit this park for making me an enthusiast the way I am today and I'm gonna mention Magnum as the reason for it! Magnum is still in my top 10 favorite coasters, and it still beats MForce for me any day! I do miss CP Operations before the 2010s when Ops were flawless and quick and barely any upcharges for most things. If I could take this park and move it down to FL where I currently live, I would NEVER leave!

An amusement park is the last thing we need and it would miserably fail.

My parents were out for Coaster Mania a few weeks ago, they said it’s has lost its “Spark”. We been going since mid 70’s. Sometimes 2 or 3 times a year, we live in PA, always a great park but lately it has really lost something 😩. So our trips to CP will probably stop cause the spark is gone and my parents noticed everything is MONEY MONEY MONEY.

This video made me so happy and so sad at the same time :/ I visited for my first ever trip this time last week for 3 days. I had the best time and this is my new favourite park and my top 4 coasters are at cedar point! I wish I were still there and I’m sad as I’m not sure when I will get to return! I waited some 30 years to visit and I must return as soon as I can! I live in the uk so it’s expensive to get to. I’m currently in Missouri and visiting worlds of fun on Wednesday and silver dollar city on Thursday. Thank you so much for this great video and reminder of my great trip!

I have to say, as a kid my home park was kings island and it got me into coasters super heavy. When I would do research on different parks every youtuber mentioned CP. It was always a dream of mine to get here one day. Luckily I now make at least two trips up there every year and man does this park never get old. This place will make any enthusiast feel like a kid again.

The scariest ride I have ever been on is shameful to admit. But it is simply the Wild Mouse. The flat curves just make me feel like I will fly off.

I live in Australia and I’ve been twice and my major tip is, if you are flying across the world for this - spend the extra and stay at breakers. It’s worth it when you are already spending so much time and money to get there.

I have been to Cedar Point twice and I would definitely recommend staying at the cheaper hotel cedar point shores. It’s average hotel but it does still help you out when you are booking your vacation including the early access. I have ate at the restaurant Melt a couple times and it’s a good place to sit down and rest and staff was very helpful especially since someone had Dramamine which worked for me. I would also recommend getting a locker at the front entrance to the park so you are not bouncing from locker to locker location. Only draw back is it’s a long walk back to the front. Bring your walking shoes.

Awesome review as always. Carpenter here, and one school of thought is to let pressure treated lumber sit for a year so the chemicals evaporate before the paint traps them in and rots the wood. I have always been fine with waiting 3 months, but maybe they are playing it safe on the racer. Looking forward to our visit here next week!

I was born an hour from IB and now have lived in the town of IB for 8 yrs and in my 51 yrs, I've never been there. My opinion, if you're going to pay that much, go to Cedar Point! 🎢 🎡🎠

My wife and I are currently at Cedar Point for the first time. We've been here 2 days and have one more day here, then 2 days at Kings Island for our first trip there. We're from Central VA, so BGW and KD are our home parks. CP is definitely a better coaster park than both BGW and KD, but my wife and I both agreed that we like BGW as a whole more than CP

The cause is probably people leaning forwards during launch and getting whiplashed into the seat.
